2020 mission statement change
Prior to its current mission To Advance Pancreatic Cancer Research and Awareness through Charitable Giving, the Jo-Ann Danzis Foundation supported a broader range causes including (general) education and the arts. In an effort to “do more good”, we narrowed our view to focus solely on pancreatic cancer.
pANCREATIC CANCER
Throughout the Foundation’s history, funding has been provided to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund of the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center. This grant supports the groundbreaking research of Dr. Angela Alistar( and colleagues).
Education
Middlesex County College Foundation, Dr. Sidney Danzis Memorial Scholarship – This grant supports funding for students majoring in Health Technologies.
Mount Holyoke Fund- This grant aids Faculty Support and the Lynk initiative at Mount Holyoke College where Jo-Ann Danzis received her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry.
The ARts
Miami Jazz Cooperative- This grant establishes the permanent home for the performance and education of jazz in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
